Energy Efficient Training Systems

Developed in conjunction with members of the building industry our training programs focus on the building science and the Building as a System approach to construction. NECA has five energy efficient programs currently developed.

Program participants learn that buildings are composed of systems. Any work performed on one aspect of a building, such as air sealing, will impact other component systems like moisture content, heating, and ventilation. Failure to recognize the importance of a holistic approach to construction can result in minor damage, such as moisture condensation, or more serious structural damage.

The skills training program gives participants a comprehensive understanding of retrofits, renovations, and new construction techniques.

These programs are available for a number of different audiences in a variety of durations. Such as upgrading programs for experienced tradesman, comprehensive programs for new entrants into the industry, or customized programs for those in-between.
